SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - A regular meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the Hessel Tribal Center in Hessel beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 5 to 6:00 p.m.
Under resolutions, the board will consider: Environment Program - Greenough Offices; USDA-Forest Service - Seed Collection; 2010 Head Start - One Time Funding; Authorization for Signature - BIA Self Governance; Home Improvement Program Work Plan; 2011 Tribal Wildlife Grant; Amending Ch. 21: Migratory Bird; two Trust Land Leases; Diabetes Healthy Heart Initiatives; Authorization to Purchase Property - JKL Expansion; Approval for Elder Service Division to Apply for 100 Communities Grant; FY 2011 Budget Document 002; and Budget Modifications to Nunns Creek, Legal Assistance for Victims, Grants to Encourage Arrest Policies, Tribal Gaming Commission, Tax Agreement, Midjim - Sault and St. Ignace, Sanitation, Emergency Preparedness, Conservation Management and Public Safety, Second Hand Smoke and Smoke Free Housing, Girls Health Forum, and Communications.
Under new business, the board will consider committee appointments and resignations.
